Formed in early 2005 The Matadors have been making quite a name for themselves. Already they have gained a following of dedicated fans, and have written enough material to record their debut album in a few months time. They are renowned for their energy and zeal when performing live, due to the showmanship of the group as a whole. The group work together exceptionally well when performing on stage, providing the audience with an exciting and energetic show. The Matadors are building up their reputation in the music world, having supported big names such as Sixnationstate and soon to support others such as The Holloways. Each member provides their own equal contribution to the overall unique quality of the band. Lead singer Sam Denniston with charismatic voice and inability to stand still combined with Ed Chisholms catchy original riffs. This is underpinned by the thumping melodic bass lines of Rupert Turner, and finally held together by the upbeat and lively style of Alex Tobys drumming. Overall The Matadors represent the up and coming talent of the British music scene and certainly are a band to look out for in the near future.
